Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia condemned on Sunday the terrorist attack that targeted residential neighborhoods in the Afghan capital Kabul.

In a statement on its official Twitter account, the Saudi foreign ministry said: “We extend our condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the Afghan people. We wish a speedy recovery for those injured and we reiterate the Kingdom's support for Afghanistan in its efforts to combat violence, terrorism, and extremism.

On Saturday, mortar shells slammed into a residential area of Kabul, killing at least eight people and injuring dozens. The attack was later claimed by Daesh (the so-called IS).
