Bahraini foreign minister holds key talks with his counterparts from Egypt, Jordan

CAIRO/AQABA, Jordan — Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met on Monday with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry during his official visit to Egypt, the Bahrain News Agency reported.

The meeting affirmed the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries and discussed means to bolster relations and enhance areas of close cooperation, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of common concern.

Earlier in the day, the Bahraini foreign minister met with Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan Ayman Safadi, who is also the country’s foreign minister, in Aqaba, Jordan. Al-Zayani was in Jordan on Monday as part of his official visit to the region.

The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Jordan and means of enhancing them.

They also discussed a number of issues of common interest. — SG
