Bahraini industry minister meets with Israel's foreign minister in Jerusalem

TEL AVIV — Bahrain's Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani held a meeting with the Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi in Jerusalem on the occasion of the Bahraini delegation’s visit to Israel.

Al-Zayani said that the government of Bahrain is always working to achieve the regional peace initiative led by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

During the meeting, he underlined the drive of Bahrain to constantly emphasize openness and coexistence, which have always been part of Bahrain's history.

He pointed out that the second visit of the Bahraini delegation to Israel confirms the kingdom's keenness to promote peace that brings hope and creates opportunities for peoples of the Middle East, especially for future generations.

He stressed the importance of opening dialogue and direct relations between the Bahraini and Israeli societies, and benefiting from their advanced economy, which will build the current positive transformation in the Middle East, and will support the stability and security of the region.

The Israeli minister welcomed the visit of the Bahraini delegation, led by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism

He said that these mutual visits contribute to opening horizons of joint cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves their interests and meets their ambitions, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation in various economic fields.

Al-Zayani also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who welcomed the Bahraini delegation’s visit to his country.

He stressed the importance of this visit in enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries and developing peace and security in the region, looking forward to more mutual visits in the future.
