MADINAH — The first batch of Umrah performers from abroad arrived in Madinah on Monday, including 135 visitors from Indonesia amid precautionary measures and health protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Upon their arrival at their residence, the Umrah performers were quarantined for three days to ensure their safety in accordance with the measures announced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah earlier.
The entry of the visitors to the Prophet’s Holy Mosque will be organized according to dates approved by Eatmarna App. Then, they will head for Makkah to perform Umrah rituals.
It is noteworthy that according to the strategic plan drawn up by the concerned authorities, the third phase of the gradual return of Umrah and visits to the Two Holy Mosques allows 20,000 Umrah pilgrims, 60,000 worshipers, and 19,500 visitors per day. — SG
