Indian envoy visits King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival

RIYADH — Indian Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed visited Saturday the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, which is in its third edition and is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club on the festival grounds in Mulham, north of Riyadh. The festival is ongoing from Nov. 28 to Dec. 12.

During the tour of the festival's facilities, the Indian ambassador was introduced to the working methods of the various committees, familiarized with the arbitration mechanism, speed and distance measurement devices, how to start calculating time, the race mechanism and determine the centers.

The Indian envoy also visited the pavilions participating in the festival, and listened to a detailed explanation about the various activities.

The Indian ambassador expressed his happiness with this visit, indicating that he came out of the festival with useful and valuable information about this interesting culture, stressing that organizing a falcon race of this size and accuracy is an achievement of the Saudi Falcon Club. — SPA
