BAGHDAD — Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Iraq Abdulaziz Al-Shammari met here on Monday with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to the Iraqi prime minister, who asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to the Saudi leadership and the people.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance joint cooperation between Baghdad and Riyadh, according to a press release issued by the media office of the Iraqi prime minister.
The meeting also discussed activating bilateral trade in light of the recent meetings of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordinating Council, which resulted in a number of agreements in various fields and sectors. — SG
