COVID-19 cases in KSA remain below 150 as deaths drop to 10

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Tuesday 142 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 360,155.

According to the Ministry of Health, 10 more patients died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 6,069.

The ministry also reported 201 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 350,993, with the recovery rate climbing to 97.45 percent.

All the regions in the Kingdom once again reported less than 50 new infections with the Riyadh region recording 34 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 32 and the Madinah region with 19 cases.

The Northern Borders regions reported just one new infection.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.

With the steady fall in new infections, the active cases in the Kingdom also dropped to 3,093 out of which 476 were critical cases.
