RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili received here on Monday with Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command Vice Admiral Samuel Paparo and accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Gen. Al-Ruwaili and Vice Admiral Paparo, who oversees the US Navy’s 5th Fleet based in Bahrain, affirmed the joint cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries, especially in the defense and military fields, in a way that guarantees the security and stability of the region.

They also discussed a number of common issues of mutual interest. — SG
