GCC commerce ministers held via video conference here on Tuesday their second meeting to review the progress made with regard to free trade negotiations between the GCC member states and other countries and international groups.

RIYADH — GCC commerce ministers held via video conference here on Tuesday their second meeting to review the progress made with regard to free trade negotiations between the GCC member states and other countries and international groups.

The meeting was presided over by UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, as his country is the rotatory president of the current session of the GCC commercial cooperation committee.

GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, it was recommended that the GCC member states ought to speed up the pace of negotiations to enhance their exports including goods and services, create new investment opportunities for the GCC countries to serve their common interests, and enhance their economic integration as per the vision and instructions of the GCC leaders. — SG
