MANAMA — Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA) has announced the cancellation of the fireworks display which was set to be held in Tubli Bay region in celebration of the New Year.

The decision is in support of Bahrain’s efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect public safety from gatherings.

BTEA affirmed that synergized efforts with the frontlines in combating COVID-19 will bring life back to normal and festivities will return. It wished all people in the kingdom continued happiness, safety, and good health. — Bahrain News Agency
