RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the completion of implementing the new mechanism to receive domestic workers by recruitment offices and companies at all the international airports in the Kingdom.

Earlier, the ministry approved a set of amendments to the system for receiving domestic workers coming from abroad to work for the first time in the Kingdom as well as those coming on exit and reentry visa system.

Under the new mechanism, recruitment companies and offices have to receive domestic workers who arrive for the first time immediately after they complete their entry procedures at the airports, while employers need to receive domestic workers arriving on exit and reentry visa directly as the task of receiving them is under the responsibility of employers.

The ministry started implementing this mechanism in July 2019 with the reception service for domestic workers set at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh for the first time, and this was followed by the reception service at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in October last year. The mechanism was implemented in all other international airports in the Kingdom at later phases.
