AGFUND discusses vision for post-pandemic period

RIYADH — The Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) held its 22nd meeting here Tuesday, chaired by the President of AGFUND Prince Abdulaziz Bin Talal.

The meeting discussed AGFUND's vision for the post-coronavirus pandemic period until 2030, represented in adapting the strategic objectives of the AGFUND development programs to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on beneficiary groups, as well as AGFUND's achievements during the year 2020 in light of the repercussions of COVID-19 and the response of AGFUND to them.

The meeting also approved the recommended projects, which contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, as 24 countries of Arab, Asian and African will benefit from them and empower women, develop children and enhance financial inclusion.

It is worth mentioning that AGFUND's projects have reached 1,608 since their inception until now, and as much as 133 countries have benefited from them. It has been implemented through 444 development partners. — SPA
