Aces, Butt Sports, Center Systems, Deccan Knights march into semifinals

JEDDAH — Aces, Butt Sports, Center System and Deccan Knights beat Makkah Eagles, ARM United, ICAD and Jeddah Gladiators respectively in quarterfinals of the Ace Travel Saudi Cup sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association under auspices of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation.

Akbar’s hat trick and Bilal’s unbeaten 108 for Deccan Knights, Umar Awan of Butt Sports fine all-round stint (61 & 2 for 15), Adnan Ayub’s aggressive 85 for Center System and Shaan Malik of Aces quickfire 74 were the highlights of the quarterfinals.

Aces surprised Makkah Eagles with a 26 runs win thanks to Shaan Malik’s quickfire knock of 74 (32b), along with Safdar’s spell (3 for 32). Umar Awan fine all-round show 61 runs and 2 for 15 along with Ramzan (54) broke the back of ARM United to give Butt Sports 27 runs win.

Bilal Mughal continued his prolific form with an unbeaten 108 (51b) to give Deccan Knights a massive 114 runs win over Jeddah Gladiators who were devastated in the first 3 balls of their innings by skipper Akbar taking first hat-trick of the league and ending with 4 for 36. Adnan’s aggressive 85 (44b) gave Center Systems 56 runs win over ICAD, whose skipper Mohsin’s (37 & 3 for 32) efforts went in vain.

Aces beat Makkah Eagles by 26 Runs

Aces 202 for 9 20 overs Shaan Malik 74 (32b), Shad Khan 46, Shahzad 2 for 21, Makki 2 for 40. Makkah Eagles 176 all out Nawab 32, Amir 29, Safdar 3 for 32, Ijaz 2 for 18.

Butt Sports beat ARM United by 27 Runs

Butt Sports 172 for 9 20 overs Umar Awan 61 (41b), Ramzan 54 (22b), Atta 3 for 32, Mansoor 2 for 41. ARM United 145 for 9 20 overs, Shakir 36, Qureshi 26, Umar Awan 2 for 15, Yasser 2 for 18.

Deccan Knights beat Jeddah Gladiators by 114 runs

Deccan Knights 201 for 9 18 overs Bilal Mughal 108NO (51b), Najeeb 32, Imran 3 for 40, Rauf 2 for 36. Jeddah Gladiators 87 all out Shahnawaz 43NO, Akbar 4 for 36 (Including hat trick), Usman 2 for 11.

Center System beat ICAD by 56 runs

Center System 199 for 9 20 overs Adnan Ayub 85 (44b), Usman Butt 43, Raja Mohsin 3 for 32, Ateeq Mansha 2 for 29. ICAD 143 all out Mohsin 37, Waqar 27, Zaka 3 for 19, Gulam Saeed 3 for 25.

Waqas (121), Kazim (104) shine

In the Plate Trophy Kashmir Stags beat K Chinar by 8 runs in a high-scoring encounter with Danish (73) and Majid (62) scoring for K Stags while Kazim Shah brilliant 104 ended up on losing side for Chinar, while Pak Zalmi led by Waqas swash-buckling knock of 121 runs (49b) and Asad (53) demolished Asfaan by 102 runs

Kashmir Stags beat K. Chinar by 8 runs

Kashmir Stags 221 for 4 20 overs Danish 73 (46b), Majid Bhat 62 (32b), Asif Mir 2 for 27. K. Chinar 213 for 5 20 overs Kazim Shah 104 (57b), Naseer 37, Usman 2 for 33.

Pak Zalmi beat Asfaan CC by 102 Runs
