MANAMA — Bahrain has called on Qatar to resume bilateral talks following the signing of the “AlUla Declaration”, the Bahrain News Agency reported on Monday.
Bahrain’s foreign ministry said “it had sent an invitation to its Qatari counterpart to send an official delegation to Bahrain as soon as possible, to start bilateral talks on issues and pending matters between the two countries in order to implement ‘Al-Ula Declaration’ and to reach the lofty goals we aspire to achieve for the benefit of the citizens of the two brotherly countries and to strengthen joint Gulf action.
The GCC member states signed a comprehensive agreement to overcome differences and boost cooperation during a summit recently held in the historic Saudi city of AlUla.
