Bahrain-US military cooperation discussed

MANAMA — Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met on Thursday with the US Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Mike Gilday, and his accompanying delegation at the BDF General Command.

The meeting was attended by Bahrain’s Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi and Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi.

The two sides reviewed the Bahrain-US joint military cooperation and coordination.

The Bahrain’s commander-in-chief lauded the depth of the existing military relations between the two friendly countries.

Later in the day, Bahrain’s defense minister hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the US chief of naval operations and his accompanying delegation.

The minister lauded the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries. Senior BDF officers also attended the launch banquet.
