ADEN — Yemen’s Foreign Minister Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak has lauded the great role played by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, to make the Riyadh Agreement a success and accelerate its implementation.

Making a statement on behalf of his country to the US Security Council during a virtual open session on the situation in the Middle East, the Yemeni minister pointed out that the Riyadh Agreement is a model to be followed, confirming that if there is goodwill, the peace will be already achieved.

He said that the implementation of the agreement resulted in the formation of a government of political competencies, which was welcomed by the international community and all peace partners.

The new Yemeni government is discharging its duty from the temporary capital of Aden with determination to move forward with its national program to achieve sustainable peace and end the coup, the Yemeni foreign minister said.
