RIYADH — In line with the exciting business climate transformations that are continuing to take place in Saudi Arabia, the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmCham KSA) has announced its establishment for the first time in the Kingdom.

The new organization builds on 40 years of experience and its reputation as a leading platform for American businesses in Saudi Arabia under the former moniker of the American Business Group of Riyadh (ABGR). The move from ABGR’s independent operation to AmCham KSA marks the partnership with the global network of the American Chambers of Commerce. Specifically, the transition to a powerful global brand and an extensive network of top international professionals signals a renewed focus on advancing a strong bilateral relationship between the Kingdom and the United States.

Tarik Solomon, Chairman of AmCham KSA, stated, “under the impetus of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is changing at an unprecedented pace from an economic, social, and cultural perspective. The American business community of Riyadh is ready to take our business relationships to the next level in line with this transformation. We are thrilled to continue working with current and prospective members, as well as the Kingdom’s government institutions, to unlock new opportunities for business and innovation.”

AmCham KSA will provide members with an expanded and enhanced range of services, which includes business matchmaking, networking with top international professionals in various industries, and strengthening efforts to have a more significant impact on relevant policy issues. The organization operates through the work of several industry-specific committees, each covering some of the most promising sectors under Vision 2030. These include Arts & Entertainment, Defense & Security, Women in Business, and Infrastructure.

The organization’s new features and services, including membership criteria and application procedures, can now be accessed through the newly launched website at AmChamKSA.com.
