MANAMA — Bahrain has announced the end of the automatic and free extension of visit visas for all travelers, including those who are inside the kingdom following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bahrain News Agency reported on Monday.

The move, which was announced by Bahrain’s Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA), will be effective from Jan. 22 (Friday).

Bahrain waived the visa fee on April 21, 2020 following the suspension of flights as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visitors can apply to extend their visas through www.bahrain.bh or visiting any services centers at the Muharraq Security Complex, Isa Town Office near Southern Governorate Police after booking appointments via Skiplino app, the NPRA said in the statement.
