KSrelief continues water and environmental sanitation project in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued implementing the water and environmental sanitation project to preserve the lives of families in Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen.

During December 2020, 1,443,000 liters of drinking water and 1,313,000 liters non-drinking water were pumped to the tanks. The KSrelief also transferred waste and wastewater from the camps to their disposal sites, continued maintenance of tanks and bathrooms, and implemented spray campaigns to combat disease vectors.

The project comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief projects, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the Yemeni people to improve their living conditions during the current humanitarian crisis.

KSrelief's medical clinics provide

treatment services in Hajjah

In Hajjah, the Mobile Medical Clinics of KSrelief continued providing treatment services, in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. During December 2020, the clinics received 1,115 patients, with various health conditions, and provided them with the necessary health services. The clinics have provided 691 individuals with medications.

KSrelief distributes 2,920

school bags in Lahij, Yemen

In Lahij, KSrelief distributed on Monday 2,920 school bags to special needs and most vulnerable students at several schools in Lahj Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 2,920 students. This comes within the framework of the Center's project to provide school bags for Yemeni children.

KSrelief launches new voluntary

medical campaign in Sudan

In Khartoum, KSrelief launched here Monday a new voluntary medical campaign to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it, in the presence of a delegation from the Sudanese Ministry of Health, representatives of the Kingdom's embassy in Sudan and a team from the KSrelief.

The KSrelief's volunteer medical team will examine more than 15,000 patients, conduct nearly 1,200 surgeries, and distribute 3,000 prescription glasses and medicines for non-surgical cases. The campaign targets the low-income families and individuals who cannot cover the costs of their treatment in Khartoum, Omdurman and El Kalakla states.

This campaign comes as an extension of the humanitarian and relief efforts, exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, aims to treat people with eye diseases, and providing them with the necessary medical care in a number of countries.

KSrelief distributes 48 tons of food

baskets to Rohingya refugees

In Dhaka, KSrelief, in cooperation with Muslim World League, distributed here Monday 48 tons of food baskets to Rohingya refugees and their host community, benefiting 10,000 individuals.

KSrelief, in cooperation with Muslim World League, earlier distributed 16 tons and 800 kgs of food baskets to Rohingya refugees, benefiting 3,500 individuals. The distribution comes as a part of a project to distribute foodstuffs to Rohingya refugees and their host community in Bangladesh.

The project comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia's support, represented by KSrelief, by providing various humanitarian and relief assistance to the Rohingya refugees to alleviate their suffering. — SPA
