NDMC announces closure of January issuance of sukuk program

RIYADH — The National Debt Management Center (NDMC) at the Saudi Finance Ministry announced on Wednesday the closure of the January 2021 issuance of the government sukuk (Islamic bonds) program.

The issuance size of the sukuk program in January was set at SR 2.955 billion, the NDMC said.

According to the NDMC, the sukuk issuances were divided into two tranches.

The first tranche of the sukuk has a size of SR2.075 billion and a total tranche size of SR2.075 billion, maturing in 2028.

The second tranche of the sukuk has a size of SR880 million, and a total tranche size of SR880 million, maturing in 2033. — SG
