MAKKAH — Under the patronage of King Salman, Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, who is also an adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, inaugurated the 20th Scientific Forum for Haj, Umrah, and Visit Research.

The forum, organized virtually by Umm Al-Qura University, contributes through its sessions to supporting decisions to improve the services provided to pilgrims and Umrah performers.

It aims to present the results of research and scientific studies related to the elements of improving the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers during Haj and Umrah, in addition to shedding light on best practices in crowd management, while creating effective communication channels between concerned parties and sectors related to serving pilgrims and Umrah performers.

On its second day, the forum includes a ministerial session on Saudi Arabia's success story in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on Haj and Umrah. Minister of Haj and Umrah Dr. Mohammed Saleh Benten; Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh; Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah; and president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, will participate in this session.
