Riyadh Mayoralty launches Dakkah program to raise quality of life

RIYADH — The Riyadh Mayoralty announced on Monday the launch of the Dakkah program, which is one of its initiatives in the field of tactical urbanization, and the application of concepts of beautifying the urban landscape.

The program aims to improve public spaces and give them aesthetic value and a creative dimension in which the components are integrated to form a vibrant community environment, in addition to improving the quality of life within the city of Riyadh.

It also aims to improve the urban landscape and humanize the city by increasing green spaces, allocating sites for riding bicycles, creating places for children’s games, and providing safe pedestrian crossings.

The name “Dakka” is chosen based on what it represents from the principles and values ​​that stem from the social and cultural life and the natural environment of society, and in line with the global concept of urban improvements, in addition to being one of the elements of the traditional urban fabric in many cities across the Kingdom.
