King Salman, Crown Prince congratulate Sri Lanka president on National Day

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent cables of congratulation to Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the anniversary of his country's National Day.

In the congratulatory messages, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the Sri Lanka president good health and happiness and the government and people of Sri Lanka steady progress and prosperity.

The National Day, also known as Independence Day, is a Sri Lankan national holiday celebrated annually on Feb. 4 to commemorate the country’s political independence from British rule in 1948.
