RIYADH — The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announced on Saturday that it would continue to allow using the Tawakkalna application free of charge, without counting data costs for all users and across all mobile telecommunication service providers.

The Kingdom’s telecom regulatory authority stated that the initiative comes within the framework of the integration of joint governmental efforts, in addition to the continuous efforts of telecommunications companies to support the continuity of the work of government agencies in confronting the coronavirus pandemic.

In May 2020, the commission announced access to the “Tawakkalna” application for free of charge and that is in cooperation with mobile telecommunications service providers to accelerate access to the app services through digital solutions and alternatives.
