Single-day COVID-19 cases in KSA top 350 again as deaths drop to 4

RIYADH — Single-day COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia remained above the 300-mark for the seventh consecutive day, with 356 new infections reported on Monday.

The virus-related deaths, however, remained low despite a slight rise in the new cases with just four fatalities reported on Monday, according to the health ministry's statement.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 370,634 and fatalities to 6,406 respectively.

The ministry also reported 298 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 361,813.

The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of infections with 164 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 80 and the Makkah region with 47 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.

With the slight increase in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 2,415 out of which 401 were critical.
