Critical cases rise by 20 in a day as KSA reports 364 new coronavirus infections

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded 364 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours as the single-day infections surpassed the 350-mark for the fourth consecutive day.

The ministry also announced five more deaths caused by complications caused by COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 371,720 and fatalities to 6,420 respectively.

The ministry also reported 274 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 362,642.

The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of infections with 176 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 85 and the Makkah region with 43 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.

With the continued increase in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 2,658 out of which 437 were critical.
