King Salman writes a letter to El-Sisi, seeks to strengthen Saudi-Egypt ties

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a letter to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

In his letter, King Salman said that Saudi Arabia is keen to strengthen the framework of strategic bilateral cooperation with Egypt at various levels.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also said in his letter that the Kingdom seeks to continue the “joint effort and intensive coordination with Egypt on various regional and international issues”.

The letter was delivered by Saudi Minister of State and Cabinet member, Essam bin Said, during his meeting with the president in Cairo, which was also attended by president of Egypt’s General Intelligence Directorate Abbas Kamel and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt Osama Bin Ahmed Nugali.
