Saudi Arabia closes February domestic sukuk issuance worth SR3.16bn

RIYADH — The National Debt Management Center (NDMC) at the Saudi Finance Ministry announced on Wednesday the closure of the February 2021 issuance of the government sukuk (Islamic bonds) program.

The issuance size of the sukuk program was set at SR 3.160 billion, the NDMC said.

According to the NDMC, the sukuk issuances were divided into two tranches.

The first tranche of the sukuk has a size of SR1.930 billion and a total tranche size of SR4.005 billion, maturing in 2028.

The second tranche of the sukuk has a size of SR1.230 billion, and a total tranche size of 2.110, maturing in 2033. — SG
