RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) will hold next Wednesday a workshop titled "The Internet of Things.. Consolidating the Economy and Serving the Societies".

The workshop will be held in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in the presence of a number of academics and the Internet of Things (IoT) experts.

The workshop will discuss a number of topics, including IoT in Saudi Arabia and its role in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030, mechanisms to take advantage of the IoT to empower the vital digital societies and achieving sustainable development, and the impact of the internet of things on the digital transformation. — SG
