Dr. Fahda named first woman board member of Institute of Internal Auditors

RIYADH — Dr. Fahda Bint Sultan Al-Sudairi, associate professor of accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Administration at King Abdulaziz University, has been appointed member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Dr. Hossam Al-Angari, president of the General Bureau for Auditing and chairman of the IIA Board of Directors, has made the appointment to the third session of the board, and that is on the basis of the nomination of Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Dr. Fahda is the first woman to join the IIA Board of Directors since its inception in 2011. She is a distinguished scholar with high-level academic and practical competence and experience and rich record in research and literature.

She attended several seminars and conferences related to accounting and auditing, in addition to her participation in professional councils and committees in many bodies along with her brilliant career at the KAU Faculty of Economics and Administration.
