MANAMA — Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is also the country’s prime minister, held talks on Thursday over phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During the conversation, the Israeli premier conveyed his greetings to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The importance of regional participation in any negotiations on the Iranian nuclear deal, provided that these negotiations include broader issues to consolidate regional security and stability, was stressed, according to the BNA report.

Joint investment in the field of healthcare, to supplement and develop the health sectors in both countries, was also discussed.

The Bahrain crown prince and the Israeli PM reviewed regional and international developments and joint cooperation across various subjects, the report added. — SG
