SAMI wraps up participation in IDEX 2021 after forging key strategic partnerships

ABU DHABI —
The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), which is fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), concluded its successful participation in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), for the year 2021, which was held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

During the five-day exhibition, SAMI signed a number of cooperation agreements with international companies and government agencies.

SAMI pavilion was visited by the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Saudi Ambassador to the UAE Turki bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil and a number of Saudi officials.

The pavilion also received Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

On this occasion, the CEO of SAMI, Walid bin Abdulmajeed Abu Khaled, said: "We are pleased to achieve outstanding success through our participation in IDEX 2021, which will lead us to achieve new achievements within our efforts to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia one of the leaders in the manufacture of military systems in the world."

During the exhibition, SAMI demonstrated innovative military products and comprehensive defense systems in its main business sectors, which are ground systems, air systems, defense electronics, weapons and missiles, and modern technologies.
