Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance supports Jaleesa platform

JEDDAH — Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jaleesa, to support a digital platform that connects parents to babysitters, who are certified and qualified as per the international standards. The aim is to enhance fruitful cooperation between the two sides by providing funding sources for babysitters accredited by Jaleesa to help them start their own enterprises.

The MoU was signed at the headquarters of Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance in Jeddah, in the presence of its Executive Director Abdulrahman Al Fehaid, and Mohammed Al Damais, Jaleesa Executive Director.

“It is indeed a pleasure to cooperate in opening a channel for providing funding for babysitters through a distinctive app offering care services for an important age segment with a very high demand both locally and globally. We are looking forward to establishing more cooperation and more fruitful partnerships with distinguished enterprises owners”, Abdulrahman Al Fehaid, Executive Director of Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance, said.

For his part Damais said: “We are glad to sign this memorandum with Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance, which has long experience in the field of microfinance. This indeed will offer a distinctive financing option for babysitters and will facilitate the provision of a suitable place for children at their houses”.

Jaleesa is a digital platform that connects parents to babysitters, who are certified and well qualified as per the international standards. Babysitters can be booked at anytime and anywhere on hourly or monthly basis. The project was ranked the first in the category of social companies at the fourth edition of the MIT Enterprise Forum Startup Competition Saudi Arabia.

It is noteworthy that Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance has managed to provide 4,467 job opportunities in 2020, including productive family projects, home projects, and Murabah, bringing the number of beneficiaries since 2018 to more than 17 thousand. This year’s goal is to exert more efforts to provide more job opportunities in more diverse fields. — SG
