RIYADH — The Arab Coalition forces on Saturday intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, according to the official spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki.

In a statement by Brig. Al-Maliki stated that the “Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this morning (Saturday) two (2) bomb-laden UAVs launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in Khamis Mushayt and Jazan.

“These are the 7th and 8th bomb-laden UAVs that have been intercepted and destroyed during the past 24 hours. These acts of aggression to deliberately and systematically target civilians and civilian objects by the terrorist, Iran-backed Houthi militia amount to war crimes.

“The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will continue to implement all necessary operational procedures to safeguard civilians and civilian objects in accordance with the customary International Humanitarian Law.” — SPA
