Coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia breach 350 mark again as deaths continue to remain low

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Tuesday 354 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, crossing the 350-mark once again.

The ministry announced five more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 383,106 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,578.

The ministry also reported 204 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 373,130.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 137 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 71 and the Eastern region with 51 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with five of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 3,398 active cases and 560 of them were in critical condition.
