SDRPY hands over second stage of Aden airport rehabilitation project

ADEN — The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has handed over the site of the second stage of the Aden airport rehabilitation project to the company carrying out the project, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

The hand over proceedings, which took place on Monday, were co-signed by the two sides, in the presence of Yemeni Minister of Transport Dr. Abdulsalam Hamid, Director of the SDRPY office in Aden Ahmed Madkhali, Director of Aden Airport Abdulraqeeb Al-Oumari, and some of the airport staff currently under development in three phases.

The signing ceremony of the project implementation was held last December, in Aden to launch a package of big projects, carried out by the SDRPY, in Yemen, as the second phase is set to be implemented to make the airport compatible with international regulations and standards, that include electric, mechanical, health and vital utilities, at the cost of SR55 million. — SG
