RIYADH — The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli has honored Almarai for its contribution in supporting Let's Make It Green campaign, represented by its CEO, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Badr. This was on Sunday at the ceremony of launching the Environment Week at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
It's worth mentioning that Almarai has contributed 8 million Saudi Riyals to support natural vegetation cover development, reduce the effects of desertification, restoring biodiversity in natural environments, rehabilitating degraded vegetation sites, and promoting positive behaviors to preserve the environment.
The Ministry has launched Let's Make It Green campaign last October to be extended till the end of April 2021. The campaign came as part of the Ministry's initiatives to preserve the environment and natural resources.
Protecting the environment is one of the main pillars of Almarai's social responsibility program. And the company is working on various initiatives to support institutions and associations that protect the environment and preserve the environmental balance. — SG
