Danish envoy: Saudi Arabia made us feel safe; our tourists will come soon

RIYADH — Danish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ole Emil Moesby emphasized Saudi Arabia made him and his embassy staff “feel safe”, saying that he is confident that Danish tourists would start visiting Saudi Arabia soon.

Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, he said that the Danish Embassy is promoting the Kingdom’s entertainment industry and major tourist attractions on its social media platforms as well as in various outlets of the Danish media.

“I have been living in the Kingdom for three and a half years, and have witnessed first-hand progressive and impressive changes taking place in the country.”

The envoy lauded the exemplary handling of the coronavirus pandemic by health practitioners in the Kingdom.

“The Kingdom has demonstrated great capabilities in containing the pandemic, and has led the citizens with a strong hand to impose precautionary measures such as curfew; lockdown and enhancing sterilization measures that have contributed to achieving great success.”

Moesby said that he and the embassy staffers have felt completely safe in the Kingdom ever since the outbreak of the pandemic.

“We have undergone coronavirus tests several times over the past year. I and two of my colleagues at the embassy received the vaccine in the Kingdom and it was a wonderful and comfortable experience,” he said,

He added, “We look forward to all colleagues at the embassy receiving the vaccine.”
