King, Crown Prince send condolences to Egyptian president

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia expressed deep sorrow over the train collision in Sohag, Egypt, which resulted in injuries and deaths.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and to Egyptian leadership, government and people. It also wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Later, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman sent separate cables of condolence and sympathy to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the victims of the train accident.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince extended their deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Egyptian president, the families of the victims, and the people of Egypt, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the souls of the deceased and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain also expressed sorrow and solidarity with Egypt over the fatal train collision.

In a statement, the UAE’s foreign ministry extended its sincere sympathy to the government of Egypt and to the families of the victims over this great tragedy and expressed speedy recovery to the injured.

UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan have also sent separate cables of condolences to Egyptian President El-Sisi for the victims of the collision between two passenger trains.

Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa extended deepest condolences and sympathy to the Egyptian president, people, and the victims’ families, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the souls of the deceased in eternal peace, bless the wounded with a speedy recovery and protect Egypt and its brotherly people from all evil.
