KSrelief provides various health services as part of Kingdom's grant for Yemen recovery

RIYADH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) provided support to hospitals and medical centers with medical devices, personal protection tools, medicines, in addition to operational budgets and training of medical personnel to provide medical services to the people of Yemen, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), with a total value of $20.5 million.

The KSrelief conducted voluntary medical campaigns in combating blindness, heart surgery, specialized surgeries and distributing medical supplies, with a value of $10.086 million.

The KSrelief also implemented a project to ensure the continuity of services and expand their scope in all governorates of Yemen, in cooperation with UNICEF, with a value of $11.2 million.

Since the breakout of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it has presented several projects to address it, such as preparing and planning for a pandemic response, worth $ 13 million, in cooperation with the WHO.

The center also implemented another emergency response project for the health sector in Yemen, targeted health facilities in the governorates of the southern axis, in cooperation with UNICEF, with a value of $4 million.

The center also supported the health response plan to help refugees and displaced persons during the COVID-19, benefiting 371,950 individuals, in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Hadhramaut, Hodiedah, in cooperation with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, worth $3 million.

The KSrelief supported the Yemeni Ministry of Health with the requirements of personal protection with COVID-19 PCRs tools, in cooperation with several organizations, with a value of $6 million. — SPA
