MAKKAH — The Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdel Fattah Bin Sulaiman Mashat revealed Friday the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has detected multiple cases of Umrah pilgrims and worshipers, who flocked to the reception centers for pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Makkah without the compulsory, valid permits with the predetermined time mentioned, in line with the regulations, via the Eatamarna app.

Immediately, the ministry started coordinating with the concerned authorities and it was explained to the violators that the permits were not valid, as the holders of these permits did not abide by the predetermined time. The objective is to ensure their safety and that of those heading to the Grand Mosque.

The valid permit ought to be obtained via Eatamarna app and their arrival in the holy sites should be on the time specified beforehand. The objective of these measures is to achieve the operational capacity that will enable the authorities to implement the precautionary and preventive measures.

Dr. Mashat called on all heading to the Grand Mosque to ensure that they obtain the valid permits through the Eatamarna application. He stressed that they should not deal with unofficial bodies that claim to issue fake permits, emphasizing that it is necessary to report such violators to the pertinent authorities.

He also asserted the need for pilgrims and worshipers with regular permits to attend at the transportation centers set up by the ministry, in order to provide them with the safe means of transport. They should also adhere to the times specified on the permits beforehand. These measures are meant to ensure everybody’s safety and to provide them with the best services.
