RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce has ensured the abundance of all consumer goods and products in sales outlets across the Kingdom on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, according to the ministry sources.

Officials of the ministry carried out more than 1,700 field trips covering commercial establishments, markets and warehouses in all regions of the Kingdom in order to verify the abundance of basic goods and products for consumers as the fasting month is due within a couple of days.

The tours covered verifying the stocks and inventory and ensured stability of prices around the same rates of the previous months.

The tours were part of the ministry’s seasonal operational plan for the month of Ramadan for the year 1442.

It is also within the framework of the ministry’s follow-up to implement its intensive monitoring rounds aimed at following up the availability of basic Ramadan commodities in the markets and shops all over the Kingdom.

The ministry is also monitoring the promotion offers that markets and shops advertise during this period to ensure that there is no cheating of consumers.

It has taken all statutory measures with regard to any violation that is caught, and applying the statutory penalties for violators.

The ministry called on all consumers to report their complaints by calling its communications center (1900) or through Balagh Tijari application around the clock.
