RIYADH — The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman affirmed that his country stands with Jordan in the face of all the challenges it faces and supports all the steps that King Abdullah II has taken to protect Jordan and its interests.
This came in a message conveyed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, who was received by his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi.
In a statement it issued Tuesday, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Prince Faisal Bin Farhan arrived Monday in Amman with a message confirming Saudi Arabia's stand by Jordan in facing all challenges.
The ministry also said that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi received Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, who arrived in Jordan, carrying a message to the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
The message confirmed Saudi Arabia's stance with Jordan in the face of all challenges, and its support for all the steps that King Abdullah takes to protect Jordan and its interests.
Meanwhile, Safadi conveyed the Jordanian monarch's appreciation for Riyadh's stances in support of Amman, and the two ministers emphasized the depth of the historical relations linking the two countries and their leadership and the continuous work to develop them in all fields.
They also asserted that the security and stability of the two kingdoms are one and indivisible, and that they stand together in the face of all challenges.
In addition, the two ministers reviewed developments in the region and ways to deal with them in a way that serves common interests and Arab causes and consolidates security and stability.
