Finance ministry disburses SR31bn to private sector in Q1 2021

RIYADH — The Ministry of Finance has completed procedures for disbursing SR31 billion, forming 99 percent of the total payment orders received for private-sector claims in the first quarter of this year.

In a recent report, the ministry stated that the number of payment orders received during Q1 of 2021 totaled 196,154 from the public and private sectors.

The report disclosed that the total value of orders amounted to SR219 billion, of which the public sector share amounted to nearly SR187 billion, while the private sector claims amounted to SR31.2 billion.

The ministry confirmed that SR217 billion had been disbursed from the total value of the orders and that nearly SR1.5 billion were under procedures for disbursement.

The report said that SR28 billion of private-sector claims were disbursed within 15 days only, and SR1.852 billion were disbursed during a period ranging between 16–30 days, while the sums disbursed during a period ranging between 31 to 45 days amounted to SR596 billion.
