April 11, 2021

RIYADH — The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has renewed the accreditation of the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation (SACA) of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) as an accredited international training center (ATC).

The Academy affirmed that this achievement confirms the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's weight in the field of civil aviation, and reflects an extension of the international recognition that the Academy reaps.

It added that this achievement is a culmination of the professional work it does and its outputs in the field of training.

The SACA indicated that the IATA accreditation for the Academy as an accredited training center will enable it to organize international courses, and it will contribute to the Academy’s trainees obtaining internationally accredited certificates, as well as accreditation of the Academy’s trainers with (IATA).

The Academy clarified that its winning a few weeks ago of a seat at the International Training Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and its renewal of accreditation now by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as an internationally accredited training center confirm that the position it reached was achieved with the policies set by GACA.

The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation confirmed that it is continuing to expand and broaden its alliances and partnerships. — SPA
