April 18, 2021

RABAT — Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has announced its program to celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites, which will be commemorated under the theme “United for Art and Heritage”.

The commemoration will be through a project that includes several international symposiums and training courses over a whole month to highlight the characteristics of the rich, diversified and authentic tangible and intangible cultural heritage in countries of the Islamic world.

In a statement issued Sunday, ICESCO noted that the celebration, which is to be held between April 18 and May 18 amid exceptional health circumstances, made it adopt alternative programs than attendance in person, offer necessary support for damaged heritage sites in some member states, and organize several programs and activities. — SPA
