Culture Minister announces Arab Poetry Path project

RIYADH — Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan announced on Monday that the Arab Poetry Path project would be launched soon in accordance with Vision 2030.

The project will document the locations of the most famous ancient Arab poems.

Prince Badr said the project aims to develop and document the locations mentioned in the famous poems of renowned Arab poets such as Maymun Bin Qays Al-A’sha, Imru Al-Qais, Zuhayr Bin Abi Sulma, Antara Bin Shaddad, Qays Bin Al-Mulawwah and other poets.

Reacting to the minister’s announcement, a number of Twitteratis described it as incredible. “It’s an excellent step to confront the plagiarism of Arabic poetry, and it will be a distinct literary, historical and tourist project,” they commented.
