MAKKAH — Women members of the Hajj and Umrah Security Forces have swung into action to offer the best possible services for the Umrah pilgrims and worshipers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah during the holy month of Ramadan.

They carry out several security missions and tasks and these include following up implementation of precautionary measures and preventive protocols, as well as security follow-up for everything related to women pilgrims and worshipers at the Haram.

The Ministry of Interior posted on its official Twitter account pictures of women soldiers engaged in performing their duties at the Grand Mosque.

It is noteworthy that the ministry is working to support the public security sector with many specializations for the female cadres in security work.

This comes after the enrollment of large numbers of Saudi women into the security services and provision of training for them in military preparation, regulations and laws related to security work.

They are also trained in acquiring computer skills, English language and communications, gathering forensic evidence, as well as in first aid.
