April 28, 2021

RIYADH — The Ministry of Health (MoH) launched Tuesday a blood donation campaign in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Through this campaign, MoH seeks to raise awareness on the importance and benefits of blood donation, spread the culture of blood donation among citizens and residents, highlight its health effects for all community members and to entrench such noble humanitarian goals.

The campaign also seeks to achieve as many donated blood units as possible to secure the reserve needs in addition to MoH's blood banks stock.

The blood donation requires booking an appointment through Mawid application in the ministry's hospitals, health centers, and mobile blood donation units, while taking into account all precautionary measures to prevent the coronavirus outbreak. — SPA
