RIYADH — The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has signed a partnership agreement with the UK-based King's College to open a branch in Riyadh this year, the RCRC announced on Wednesday in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
King's College Riyadh will be the first school within the framework of the RCRC’s International Schools Attraction Program, which was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Investment.
President of the RCRC Fahd Bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rasheed said that the opening of the college comes within the framework of the strategy of Riyadh city to strengthen the educational sector, as it will reflect the commitment of the RCRC with its partners to provide educational opportunities for Saudi and non-Saudi students, pointing out that this comes in line with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, UK Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Neil Crompton said the announcement of the opening of King's College in Riyadh is an example of strengthening relations between the Kingdom and the United Kingdom in the education sector. "This project is an example of our firm commitment to strengthening the educational aspect between our two countries", he said.
